This book makes me think about the 3 monkeys. They could hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil. They didn't want to hear the truth, see the truth or talk about the truth. They were in denial, like most people are in denial about the African Holocaust. How many died? Historians will tell you there were a lot, but maybe not as many as the Jewish deaths in the Nazi concentration camps. But if you count the African deaths before the Middle Passage, during the Middle Passage, in slavery, and all the terror lynchings, not just the physical and emotional and spiritual and psychological, but also the mass incarceration of a disproportionate number of African Americans, then you must say that the African American Holocaust is an ongoing case of genocide. This book will help open your eyes, open your ears, and open your mouth to talk about this national disgrace. I recommend it for teachers, students, politicians and for the common man also.
