Let me start by saying I desperately wanted to like this book
The Second Bat Guano War by J.M. Porup: Let me start by saying I desperately wanted to like this book, I truly did. I went in reading with enthusiasm, I was drawn in by the book's cover and synopsis. I even liked the way the book began, and as the story progressed I began to like the anti-hero in the story but alas it didn't last long. The more I read the more the story dragged on, almost 2 weeks in and only on 100 pages the story began to bore me and I don't quite know why, I mean I cared about what happened to Horse and him finding his missing frenemie, but not enough to force myself to continue reading. Again I don't know what it was but somewhere along the way he lost me, the story was too slow.
